About Schmeeds

Schmeeds Music is owned and operated by Pete and Cindy Schmiedhauser. Pete is a musician with over forty years of music industry and retail experience.

Pete briefly studied bass guitar under Dave LaRue (Dixie Dregs, Steve Morse Band, Joe Satriani) at an early age and went on to play with a variety of tri-state area cover bands such as Matriarch, the Passions, and the Kids in the 1970's and 80's.

Later, he became a fixture in the NYC club scene for original music, performing in such noted rooms as CBGB, Lincoln Center, and Trax; he also participated in many recording sessions during the heydey of Atlantic, A&R, Chelsea, and Howard Schwartz studios, to name a few.
